My lens Refreshingly Ginger - Ginger Spice had not been updated for a while and wasn’t getting any traffic, so yesterday I went to edit it.
My tags had all been replaced by tags from Yorkshire Pudding - How Do You Eat Yours?!
No wonder, I thought to myself, that a lens which is primarily about ginger and its uses isn’t getting any traffic from search engines when its primary tag is Yorkshire Pudding!
I decided against taking Poddys excellent advice of renaming my lens Ginger Yorkshire Pudding as a quick fix, thanks for your suggestion though, and submitted a bug report to see whether I could recover the tags but the squid team are busy so who knows when I will get a reply.
Job for today then is to set about re-tagging my lens!

I just thought I would mention this because if over time you have built up a collection of tags which seem to be working well in generating traffic and then you lose them all it’s a bit of a pain trying to remember what they were. I may now start to keep a word file containing my tags for particular lenses just in case it happens again! Maybe you would like to do the same for some of your lenses.

Hello there,
It’s my first post on Squidtop so I thought that it might be useful to add my bio for those that haven’t come across me before….

My name is Jill, some say Jill of all trades and ‘mistress’ of none! Maybe it’s because my attention span isnt that great and I seem to start lots of projects and really finish few.
A lot of my activities at home revolve around our pets, we have a wonderful ex racing greyhound called Flynn and two cats, Tammy, who quite elderley, and the other little angel, Kit C (aka Princess Fluffles :/ ), who runs around like Bob the Builder with clogs on!
Apart from our pets I am quite interested in Genealogy, and keep picking up a few pieces for the family tree, and, amongst other things, I have also been known to dabble in card making.
I am still a bit of a ‘newbie’ on Squidoo but thanks to the help of some fantastic lensmasters I think I am getting the hang of things and getting better at making lenses, some of them are linked to below…
